NET WEIGHER
A Net Weigher is a simple and effective tool for bagging 10 to 70kg's of product. Mounted to a support frame, a Net Weigher needs only a power supply and clean dry compressed air. A Net Weigher would be used in preference to a Gross Weigher when you don't want the operator to interfere with the weighing and higher accuracy is required.
Application
Net Weighers are normally used to:
- Open Mouthed bags
- When the Operator is to be completely removed from the weighing process.
Accuracy
For free flowing products
- * ± 20grams at up to 10 bags per minute (at 2δ)
- ± 50grams at up to 10 to 20 bags per minute (at 2δ)
Non free flowing products may require the bagging rate to be reduced to maintain required accuracy.
Flow Rate
The bagging rate depends greatly on the product being handled. Net Weighers can achieve up to 20 bags per minute.

TES have a PC based software package that provides:
- Data logging
- Local / Remote diagnostic tool
This software can allow TES to connect to the controller, monitor its performance and amend operating parameters.

Duplex Net Weigher
Method of Operation
A Two Position Radial Feed Gate is used for free flowing product. A Single Position Catch Gate is used for non free flowing product. The feed device would be selected to handle the product and may have one or two speed filling capability.
When the bag is placed on to the bag clamp, the operator hits two "whiskers" which activate the bag clamp. Bag detection sensors detect a correctly placed bag. This allows the material in the weigh hopper to discharge into the bag.
Filling automatically starts after the product has discharged from the weigh hopper.
Selection Criteria
Net weighers deliver higher accuracy and allow the operator to not be involved in the weighing process. Net Weighers however reqire increased headroom when compared to Gross Weighers and are more expensive.
