GROSS WEIGHERS
A Gross Weigher is a simple and effective tool for bagging 10 to 70kg's of product. Mounted directly to your Garner Bin, the Gross Weigher needs only a power supply and clean dry compressed air.
Typical Bagging Rates
(for free flowing products)
- 25kg bags up to 18 Bags/min at ± 100gm
- 50kg bags up to 14 bags/min at ± 50gm

Method of Operation
A Two Position Radial Feed Gate is used for a free flowing product. For non free flowing products, only a Single Position Catch Gate is used.
The feed device would be selected to handle to product. This device may have one or two speed filling capability.
When the bag is placed on to the bag clamp, the operator hits two "whiskers" which activate the bag clamp.
Two bag detection sensors detect a correctly placed bag and starts the filling cycle. Filling is started and the controller accurately monitors the bag filling.
When the required bag weight is reached the feed device is shut down.
There are a number of features that allow the bags to automatically drop from the bag clamp when the bag weight is reached or the bag can be left on the clamp.

Gross Weighers are used for:
- Open mouth bags,
- Low headroom,
- Lower cost.

Performance Monitoring
The Gross Weigher will provide a pulse output. This can be read by our PC based Data Logging and Diagnostics tool that gives graphical performance monitoring and allows amendment to controller operation parameters.
