BELT WEIGHER

Belt Weighers are a simple and effective tool for totalising material passing over a conveyor. Installed into your process, the Belt Weigher can be used to either:
  • Stock Control
  • Process Control
  • Blending
Belt Weighers can be used in a Master/Slave relationship to allow blending of products, the addition of liquids and so on.

Application
Belt Weighers can be used for:

Accuracy

±0.50% or better can be achieved.Contact us for particular applications.

Flow Rate
Flow rates up to 5,000tph.

Belt Widths
300 to 3000mm.

Why Choose a Belt Weigher ?

Advantages

  • Relatively low cost.
  • Requires no additional head room.
  • Fits into existing conveyors
Disadvantages
Full dynamic material calibration is more costly than static calibration.

However Belt Weighers can be statically calibrated very easily to give reasonable accuracy

Method of Operation
Any product that can be conveyed on a conventional belt conveyor can be weighed and the product passing can be totalised and the instantaneous flow rate calculated.

The material loading and material residence times are critical for Belt Weighers to work accurately and reliably.

The Belt Weigher can also be used for product blending.

The analogue output signal acts as a reference to control the addition of one or more additional products.

Selection Criteria

To select the correct Belt Weigher we will need you to provide us with some basic information:
  1. What is the application?
  2. What accuracy is required?
  3. Belt Width, Flow Rate and Belt Speed.
For a more detailed advice contact us and request a Belt Weigher Questionnaire.

Why Choose a Belt Weigher ?

The Belt Weigher will provide:
  • Monitor,
  • Batch, or
  • Ratio control
The required feed rate and required level of accuracy will also dictate whether the whole station should be weighed. Higher accuracy usually requires feeding product to a smaller more accurate hopper.

To select the correct components necessary to make a Bulk Bag Unloading station for your application contact us.

We will need you to provide us with some basic information:
  • The total of the material passing, and
  • Instantaneous Flow Rate.
  • An Analogue output signal can be used to control other equipment.
  • RS232, RS422/485 Communications
  • Pulse Output
